Watch it

Giants vs. Red Sox (7 p.m., NBC-11). Boston makes only its second appearance at AT&T Park, as the Giants kick off a tough homestand against the Red Sox and Dodgers.

“Friday Night Lights” (10 p.m., NBC-11). Or thereabouts, whenever the Giants game ends. Tonight Jess has to choose between Landry and Vince, and Luke’s injury takes a toll.

“Party Down” (10 p.m., Starz). It’s the season finale already, and Jane Lynch (“Glee”) is back as the gang caters her wedding.

Record it

“Dual Survival” (10 p.m., Discovery). The guys go cave-diving in Belize and then have to escape the dense jungle.

“Chefs vs. City” (10 p.m., Food Network). Hey, they’re competing against local chefs again! Maybe that’ll make this Portland episode more interesting.

World Cup

Portugal vs. Brazil (7 a.m., ESPN). Two of the most exciting teams in the tournament. Brazil’s already advanced, and Portugal almost surely will. This could be fun.

North Korea vs. Ivory Coast (7 a.m., ESPN2). North Korea probably won’t lose by seven goals this time. Maybe six though.

Spain vs. Chile (11:30 a.m., ESPN). Spain needs a win here. Can the European champs step up their game?  Chile’s already advanced, and may let up a bit.

Switzerland vs. Honduras (11:30 a.m., ESPN2). No one cares. Unless Spain manages to lose and one of these teams advances.

Skip it

Anything involving the anniversary of Michael Jackson’s death. I’m looking at you, “Dateline” (8 p.m., NBC) and “20/20” (9 p.m., ABC). It’s pretty much guaranteed to be cheap and tawdry.
