Watch it

“30 for 30” (7 p.m., ESPN). Where were you June 17, 1994? This new documentary by Oscar nominee Brett Morgen takes us back to the day when O.J. Simpson hit the freeway, and sports, crime and pop culture collided.

“Top Chef” (9 p.m., Bravo). Season premiere. Season 7 kicks off in Washington D.C., and the cheftestants have to cook something that reflects them and their home region. And impress new judge Eric Ripert in the process.

“In Plain Sight” (10 p.m. USA). Mary helps a homeless witness find his birth parents. Because U.S. marshals are also social workers.

“Man vs. Food” (6 p.m., Travel). Season premiere. Adam hits San Diego and tries to choke down a giant burrito and an enormous omelet.

“South Africa: Shoot to Kill” (8 p.m., Current). A look at the South African police’s “shoot first, ask questions later” approach to crime. Yikes. Timely though, with the World Cup going on in South Africa.

“Work of Art: The Next Great Artist” (10 p.m., Bravo). The artists must create something from items found in the trash.

“Hot in Cleveland” (10 p.m., TV Land). Series premiere. A new sitcom about three 40-something L.A. women (Wendy Malick, Jane Leeves, Valerie Bertinalli) who move to Cleveland because the local yokels think they’re hot. Betty White co-stars as the landlord of the house they rent. Good cast, but the plot sounds based almost entirely on a one-line joke from “30 Rock” a couple seasons ago. On the bright side, it can’t be worse than any of the sitcoms Fox rolled out this year.

World Cup

Chile vs. Honduras (4:30 a.m., ESPN). Zzzzzzzzzz.

Spain vs. Switzerland (7 a.m., ESPN). Spain might be the best team in the tournament. Worth checking out before work.

Uruguay vs. South Africa (11:30 a.m., ESPN). Meh.

Argentina vs. South Korea (4:30 a.m. Thursday, ESPN). Could be a fun one. Maybe even an offensive shootout (like 2-1).

TV’s Greatest Surprises (8 p.m., CBS). “Greatest Hits” shows like these are always terrible. Don’t waste your time.
