Watch it

“Lie to Me” (8 p.m., Fox). Tim Roth is back as a human lie detector in this crimefighting procedural that’s better than most. Don’t worry, even though Fox is burning off episodes over the summer, it’ll be back for a new season in the fall.

“Neighbors from Hell” (10 p.m., TBS). Series premiere. A new animated comedy about a family from Hell trying to pass themselves off as typical suburbanites in Texas.

Record it

“The Bachelorette” (8 p.m.  ABC). Ali takes her dates to see the Barenaked Ladies. What, Jack Johnson isn’t fratty enough for them?

Skip it

“Last Comic Standing” (8 p.m., NBC). The comics’ acts are so watered down for network TV that they’re hardly ever funny. It’s too bad, host Craig Robinson and judge Greg Giraldo are hilarious in real life. This would be a much better show if it were on HBO or something.

“Good Guys” (9 p.m., Fox). Sorry, but two good actors plus one awesome moustache don’t equal one good show.

“Persons Unknown” (10 p.m., NBC). Series premiere. I know nothing about it, but considering NBC’s recent track record with dramas and the fact that it’s premiering in June, it’ll almost certainly be awful.
