Watch it

“Human Target” (8 p.m., Fox). It’s totally brainless and cheesy. So why watch? Consider it a visual sorbet to cleanse the palate after the tension and drama of “Lost,” “The Pacific” and half a dozen other serious shows. Tonight Chance teams up with a hot FBI agent (remember her from the Russian consulate episode?) to prevent an assassination.

“MonsterQuest” (9 p.m., History). It’s about Sasquatch, my favorite monster! Experts investigate Bigfoot sightings in the Sierra. Hey, “Modern Family” is a rerun tonight, so why not?

“South Park” (10 p.m., Comedy Central). Season premiere. The 14th season opens with a shredding of Tiger Woods and his sex scandal.

“Ugly Americans” (10:30 p.m., Comedy Central). Season premiere. A new animated series about humans and mutants and demons living in New York. Could be good, twisted fun, or else really, really stupid.

Record it

“America’s Next Top Model” (8 p.m., The CW). Season premiere. Tyra and the gang are back, and this time it’s back to tall models. Tonight they have to pose for a nude photo shoot. Hey, hey, hey, calm down, remember this is The CW, not Cinemax.

“The Inbetweeners” (9:30 p.m., BBC America). Will and the crew hit London for a night of partying. But car troubles and a dress code cause trouble.

“House Hunters” (10 p.m., HGTV). A new episode with a couple looking for a nice place in San Francisco for under $600,000. Yeah, good luck with that.

“Destination: Truth” (10 p.m., Syfy). The team looks for leprechauns in Ireland. Wow, how drunk must they be?

Skip it

“Throwdown with Bobby Flay” (9 p.m., Food Network). It’s a French toast challenge. French toast! On St. Patrick’s Day! I’m boycotting it out of principle. What, they couldn’t do a potato challenge?

“High Society” (9:30 p.m., The CW). Don’t. You’re better than that.
