“Magic and Bird: A Courtship of Rivals” (8 p.m., HBO). This documentary chronicling the parallel careers of NBA greats Magic Johnson and Larry Bird is drawing rave reviews. Check it out for a dose of basketball nostalgia.

“Saturday Night Live” (11:30 p.m., NBC). Tonight actually sounds good: Zack Galifianakis hosts with musical guests Vampire Weekend.

“Parenthood” (8 p.m., NBC). If you missed Tuesday’s series premiere, now’s your chance to catch it again. Sure it’s full of cliches, but the acting’s good and it’s less melodramatic than “Brothers and Sisters.”

“Academy Awards Shorts IV” (7:30 p.m., Sundance). A collection of Oscar-nominated and -winning short films. Just be aware, this isn’t a collection of this year’s nominees.

“Uncorked” (9 p.m., Hallmark). A workaholic woman visits Wine Country, falls for a local chef and discovers there’s more to life than work. Don’t bother looking for anything much deeper than that. On the plus side, it’s set in Wine Country, so it probably has pretty scenery.
