Watch it

Winter Olympics (8 p.m., NBC). Everyone might be talking about Lindsey Vonn, but it’s Julia Mancuso who’s the more likely medal contender today in the women’s giant slalom. The weather report sounds dicey though, so this might get postponed. Also, Apolo Ohno has qualifying for the 500m short-track, and there’s women’s aerials, cross country and bobsled. For hockey fans, head over to CNBC. Team USA is playing the Swiss TAPE-DELAYED(!!) at 3 p.m. on NBC, so screw NBC, follow the game online and don’t watch. Instead, catch the (LIVE!) game of the day (tournament?) is Canada vs. Russia at 4:30 on CNBC, followed by Sweden vs. Slovakia and Finland vs.  Czech Republic at 7 and 9 p.m. These are all elimination games now, and there should be some fantastic action.

“Colbert Report” (11:30 p.m., Comedy Central). I’ve been lax in not pumping Colbert’s weeklong stretch of Olympic specials. It’s good, patriotic stuff coming from behind the Maple Curtain. Tonight he talks to figure skating analyst Scott Hamilton and snowboarder Seth Wescott.

Record it

“The Inbetweeners” (9:30 p.m., BBC America). The mates (like my use of Brit slang?) crash Will’s date on a boat, and he ends up with hypothermia. That’s not how to get a fit bird to fancy you. (OK, I’ll stop now.)

“House Hunters International” (9:30 p.m., HGTV). A Rhode Island couple look for a place in Bangkok. That could be interesting. With the exchange rate what it is, they could buy something pretty mind-blowing. And a house too.

“Solving History with Olly Steeds” (10 p.m., Discovery). The mystery of Hitler’s mummies. Hitler’s mummies?!? That’s enough to get me to watch.

Skip it

“Tool Academy 3” (10 p.m., VH1). It’s a rerun (I have no clue when new episodes air, but the reruns are run daily, it seems), which makes it suck even more. Seriously, it’s not even a fun train wreck, like “Jersey Shore” or “Celebrity Rehab.” It’s just a pit of awfulness, and after watching you’ll feel dirty.
