Watch it

Winter Olympics (8 p.m., NBC). Shani Davis goes for gold in the men’s 500m speed skating, and the men’s downhill will hopefully be ready to go after being postponed Saturday. Also: the pairs figure skating final and snowboarding.

“24” (9 p.m., Fox). I can’t deal with figure skating, so I might check this out. I haven’t seen “24” this season, but come on, how complicated could the plot be? Oh wait . . . .

“Damages” (10 p.m., FX). Joe Tobin has to explain how he was trying to smuggle a gravely injured woman out of the country, and the flashbacks try to connect Patty’s crash and Tom’s death. And there’ll surely be another bombshell dropped somewhere.

“The Bachelor” (8 p.m., ABC). Ali, who quit last week, wants back in. Dum-dum-DUM! Meanwhile, Jake cavorts with the remaining three on the island of St. Lucia.

“Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show” (8 p.m., USA). Opening night coverage of the big dog show.

“Life Unexpected” (9 p.m., The CW). Lux throws a party above Baze’s bar, and Cate wonders why she and Lux don’t share the bond that Lux and Baze do. Um, hint: Baze’s bar.

“Men of a Certain Age” (10 p.m., TNT). Joe bets a huge amount of money on a basketball game hoping to win enough so he can buy a new house, and Owen’s father passes him over and hands the dealership over to Marcus. Ooooh, this sounds grim.

“Making of ‘The Pacific’ ” (10:30 p.m., HBO). A behind-the-scenes look at the upcoming World War II miniseries.

“The Buried Life” and “My Life as Liz” (10 and 10:30 p.m., MTV). Both had the potential to be good. Neither is.
