Watch it

“Lost” (9 p.m., ABC). Kate’s on the lam in 2004, and Sawyer tries to bust out of the Other Others’ compound in 2007.  And maybe we’ll find out how Sayid is alive (errr, probably not).

“White Collar” (10 p.m., USA). An art collector is murdered, and the guys suspect a female thief.

“Daily Show” (11 p.m., Comedy Central). Newt Gingrich is the guest. Love him or hate him, his guest appearances are always interesting.

“Late Show with David Letterman” (11:30 p.m., CBS). Jennifer Garner is a guest, along with the mystery cover model (UPDATE: It’s Brooklyn Decker) for the upcoming Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue. Must-see TV if you’re a 14-year-old boy.

Record it

“Southland” (10 p.m., TNT). Still an old episode, but since no one watched it in NBC last year, it’s probably still new to you.

Skip it

“Past Life” (9 p.m., Fox). Series premiere. A cop and a shrink help people who’re haunted solve mysteries based on their previous lives. Think “Medium” or “Ghost Whisperer,” only  . . . . well, I was going to say stupider, but they’re all pretty stupid.
