Watch it

“Dollhouse” (8 p.m., Fox). It’s the series finale. Set 10 years in the future, Echo and her team try to save humanity from extinction. In an interesting nod to the hardcore fans, it’s a continuation of the unaired “lost” episode from Season 1 which was only available on the DVD set.

“Caprica” (9 p.m., Syfy). Last week’s series premiere had been available in DVD for months, so this is more or less the first actually new episode. Tonight, Zoe’s avatar adapts to life as a robot. And if that doesn’t make sense to you, the 2-hour premiere will be rebroadcast at 7 p.m.

“John Oliver’s New York Standup Show” (11 p.m., Comedy Central). Tonight: Maria Bamford, Hannibal Buress, Amy Shumer and Marc Maron. Maron’s hilarious, too bad it’ll be edited for TV.

Record it

“30 for 30” (11 p.m., ESPN2). It’s a repeat of the Len Bias episode, which I still somehow haven’t seen. Word is it’s a fascinating look at the greatest what-coulda-been story in NBA history, and the incident that scared a million kids away from cocaine.

Skip it

“Kitchen Nightmares” (9 p.m., Fox). Season premiere. Why watch Gordon Ramsay just scream obscenities at restaurant staff when you can see him actually be constructive while he screams obscenities at restaurant staff on the original BBC America series? The Fox version gives me a headache.

“Spartacus: Blood and Sand” (10 p.m., Starz). You know how some shows are so bad they’re funny and watchable? This isn’t one of them. It’s so bad it’s sad.
