NBC is taking the night off – all reruns. So it’s time to branch out.

Watch it

“Storytellers” (8 p.m., MTV). John Mayer dishes on how he swoops down on hot celebrity chicks just after they’ve been dumped and plays the rebound guy. What? He’s not? He’s just going to talk about his songs that lure hot celebrity chicks to bed? Oh. Nevermind. Move this to “Skip it” then.

“Fringe” (9 p.m., Fox). Walter is somehow connected to a bunch of chemical-weapons-related deaths at a wedding. Ouch, that’ll kill the mood.

“Burn Notice” (10 p.m., USA). A former SEAL buddy needs Sam’s help, while Michael meets a certain “freelance psychopath” in person and tracks down a child predator in a rough neighborhood. Oooh, Danny Trejo guest-stars (you’ll recognize him as the scary guy from every movie and TV show he’s ever been in).

Record it

“Archer” (10 p.m., FX). Malory hosts a dinner party that’s crashed by assassins. Jeffrey Tambor lends his voice.

“Project Runway” (10 p.m., Bravo). I have it on good authority that the series has regained its form this season. Tonight the designers are forced to work in pairs and drama erupts. Shocking!

Check the score

NBA basketball: Mavericks at Suns (7:30 p.m., TNT). Dirk. Nash. Should be fun.

NCAA basketball: Gonzaga at Santa Clara (7:30 p.m., ESPN2). The Zags should win easily, but it’s a nice chance to scout them out ahead of NCAA Tournament pool time.
