Watch it

“No Reservations” (8 p.m., Travel Channel). Tony Bourdain goes to Brittany, where he finds piles and piles of shellfish.

“Life Unexpected” (9 p.m., The CW). A social worker inspects Lux’s new parents’ homes. Expect poignancy and tears.

“Damages” (10 p.m., FX). Series premiere. Season 2 jumped off the rails, but I’ve heard good things about this upcoming season, so I’m back on board. Ellen is now working for the DA’s office, which enlists Patty’s help to prosecute a Madoff-esque scammer. Co-stars this season include Martin Short, Lily Tomlin and Campbell Scott. And we’d better not have seen the last of Frobisher!

Record it

“Chuck” (8 p.m., NBC). More guest stars galore! Tonight there’s Kristin Kreuk, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin and Brandon Routh. Come on, “Chuck,” focus here. It’s about the story, not the celebrities. . . .

“Diners, Drive-ins and Dives” (10 p.m., Food Network). Guy Fieri goes tailgating outside a Raiders game, where fans grill great, bloody slabs of meat on their shoulder spikes.

“Men of a Certain Age” (10 p.m., TNT). Shhhh, it’s quietly becoming one of the best shows on TV. Who knew Ray Romano could be such a good dramatic actor? It’s a father theme tonight, as Joe (Romano) visits his dad (Robert Loggia) and Owen (Andre Braugher) finds out his dad would prefer someone else was his son. Ouch.

“Top Gear” (10 p.m., BBC America). The 13th season begins with a race from London to Edinburgh, pitting a Jaguar vs. a motorcycle vs. a steam train.

“24” (9 p.m., Fox). Zzzzzzzz. It’s not even the best action show on Fox! (“Human Target” is.)
