Watch it

“Law & Order” (8 p.m., NBC). I know, it hasn’t been cool in 10 years, but tonight Samantha Bee (“The Daily Show”) guest-stars as a late-night talk show host who’s blackmailed, and who may have killed the blackmailer. Shades of David Letterman. Well, except for the murder.

“Dollhouse” (9 p.m., Fox). Echo and the team travel to the desert to disable the big bad mainframe. Only a few more episodes left . . .

“Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien” (11:35 p.m., NBC). The scorched-earth campaign continues. Hey, what does he have to lose? Tonight’s guests: Jeff Bridges and Mary Lynn Rajskub.

Record it

“Top Gear” (8 & 10 p.m., BBC America). It’s an old episode, but I don’t think I’ve seen it. The guys put on their own version of a fox hunt, and do a challenge with a bunch of classic limousines. Sounds like this one just oozes in British-ness.

“John Oliver’s New York Stand-Up Show” (11 p.m., Comedy Central). Tonight’s comics: Mary Lynn Rajskub (wow, she’s everywhere tonight!) and three guys I’ve never heard of. You might know Rajskub from her role as Chloe on “24,” but if you’ve never seen her standup act, check it out. She’s funny.

Skip it

Critics Choice Movie Awards (9 p.m., VH1). Oooh, an awards show I’ve never heard of, airing two days before the Golden Globes. I can’t say “Who cares?” fast enough. Ugh, as an added (dis)incentive, Nick Jonas is playing in the house band.
