SUNDAY

As “Desperate Housewives” takes a break leading up to its final episodes, ABC airs back-to-back episodes of its new comedy “GCB” (9 p.m.)

On Showtime, not one, not two, but THREE series return tonight: “Nurse Jackie” (9 p.m.), “The Big C” (9:30 p.m.) and “The Borgias” (10 p.m.).

 TUESDAY

“Glee” (8 p.m., Fox) returns. Who knew Blaine had a brother? Turns out he does, and tonight, his brother comes for a visit. Hopefully, we’ll find also out what happened to Quinn.

 WEDNESDAY

ABC has been promoting the heck out of its new comedy, “Don’t Trust the B—- in Apt. 23” (9:30 p.m.), but I don’t mind. Despite the fact that mismatched roommates have been played for laughs since “The Odd Couple” (and let’s not forget “Best Friends Forever,” which just premiered last week) this comedy shows promise. Krysten Ritter stars as the aforementioned “B,” with Dreama Walker as her more starry-eyed roommate. It also stars James Van Der Beek as James Van Der Beek.

 THURSDAY

“The Office” (9 p.m., NBC) returns after several weeks off, with Robert throwing a party for usurper Nellie and Andy trying to break up with Jessica now that he’s rekindled his romance with Erin.

FRIDAY

Any Lionel Richie fans out there, who happen also to love country music? Then tune in to “ACM Presents: Lionel Richie and Friends in Concert” (9 p.m., CBS). It will feature such country stars as Kenny Chesney, Lady Antebellum, Tim McGraw, Kenny Rogers, Jennifer Nettles and Jason Aldean performing their takes on Richie tunes.

SATURDAY

In honor of the Titanic sinking 100 years ago (the ship hit the iceberg just before midnight April 14, 1912, going down several hours later), ABC will air the first of a two-part mini-series “Titanic” (8 p.m.) , a dramatization of the tragedy that left two-thirds of its passengers dead. The mini-series concludes Sunday.
