The breezy buddy comedy “My Boys” (TBS) is mixing up the cast a bit. It’s being reported that Rachel Harris (“The Hangover,” “Notes from the Underbelly”) will be joining the cast in the second half of the upcoming fourth season, playing Mike’s new love interest and neighbor. Unfortunately, Jim Gaffigan is leaving the series to concentrate on his standup career. Apparently he’s being written out of the show by “moving overseas.” The new season starts July 25.

The smart and snarky Harris is a great addition, she’s been funny in pretty much everything I’ve seen her in. Losing Gaffigan, though, will be tough. Though he never got a ton of screentime, his character Andy always seemed to have the best, funniest lines.

There’s good news on the likelihood of a fifth season, too. Though star Jordana Spiro has agreed to co-star in an NBC pilot with “Ugly Betty’s” Becki Newton, she apparently intends to keep doing “My Boys. Considering it only shoots about 10 episodes a year, it might not strain her schedule too much.
