CBS announced the cast for Season 16 of “The Amazing Race” on Thursday, and I’ve gotta say, it looks pretty good. Ehh, who am I kidding, I’m always excited for a new season of “TAR.”

In addition to a new series logo, which I’m not liking, the new season features a couple of former “Big Brother” contestants, a geographically-challenged former Miss Teen South Carolina and her boyfriend, a pair of cowboy brothers, a couple of undercover police detectives and a grandmother and granddaughter team.

In a new twist that I really like, the teams have to get from their Los Angeles starting point to the airport by using public transit. Transit in L.A.? That should add a little drama. Among the locales this season: Chile, the Seychelles and France.

I’ll dig through the cast bios and give my first-impression handicap of each team in the next few days, so stay tuned. The season premieres Sunday, Feb. 14. But to hold you over until then, here’s the trailer for Season 16:
