There’s a ton of good stuff on tonight. Free up space on your DVR and dig in!

Watch it

“The Simpsons” (8 p.m., Fox). It’s the 450th episode, with Anne Hathaway lending her voice. It’s followed at 8:30 by an hourlong documentary by “Super Size Me’s” Morgan Spurlock, “The Simpsons’ 20th Anniversary Special: In 3D! On Ice!” (It’s not in 3D or on ice.) But it should be a very cool retrospective.

“Worst Cooks in America” (10 p.m., Food Network). It’s additively good. Some of these people are just so, so bad. How do they eat? Tonight the wannabe cooks learn knife skills (yikes, bring some Band-Aids) and try to cook a new dish.

Record it

“Chuck” (9 p.m., NBC). Season premiere. It’s a two-hour episode on a special night. Chuck’s a dork no more; now he’s in spy school. Only he’s still really a dork. This sounds like a perfect opportunity for new viewers to jump on board. Want to catch up quick? Read this.

“Ax Men” (9 p.m., History). Season premiere. New locations, new loggers, new dangers. Since when did chopping down trees become cool? Somewhere a spotted owl is weeping.

“Battlestar Galactica: The Plan” (9 p.m., Syfy). This “BSG” standalone movie follows the inner workings of the Cylons in parallel storylines to the series’ first few seasons. If you really miss the series, you’ll want to check it out, even though it’s seriously flawed (read my spoiler-free review here). If you’ve never seen it, don’t bother, you’ll be completely lost.

“Big Love” (9 p.m., HBO). Season premiere. I just haven’t been able to get into this show about living La Vida Polygamist. But for its fans, hey, the new season’s here, enjoy!

“Durham County” (10 p.m., Ion). Ray Prager’s  creepy crime streak continues to haunt Mike’s family.

Games of the day

NFL playoffs: Ravens at Patriots (10 a.m., CBS). The Pats won’t need Wes Welker to win. But they might need Randy Moss to not lay down like a dog.

Packers at Cardinals (1:10 p.m., Fox). Should be a good game. I’ll go with Aaron Rodgers and the Pack on the road.

Skip it

“Keeping Up With the Kardashians” (10 p.m., E). With all the good TV on tonight — seriously, there’s a lot of quality show on — don’t stoop to this.
