Watch it

Fiesta Bowl: TCU vs. Boise State (5 p.m., Fox). It’s the undefeated Horned Frogs vs. the undefeated Broncos. Should be a fantastic matchup of the nation’s two best teams not from major conferences.

“MythBusters” (9 p.m., Discovery). Adam and Jamie are back with a new episode, this time taking on a “boomerang bullet” myth.

“Men of a Certain Age” (10 p.m., TNT). I’ve kinda forgotten this has been on, but it’s a really good dramedy about middle-aged guys, if you’re looking for a little quality programming. Tonight, Owen (Andre Braugher) and his family are forced to stay at his mean father’s house, and Joe’s (Ray Romano) daughter is being stalked.

Record it

“The Bachelor: Wings of Love” (8 p.m., ABC). Season premiere. The latest Bachelor is Jake, the runner-up from last season’s “Bachelorette.” It’s not for me, but I know certain people (my girlfriend, for one) can’t turn away from this show. It’s OK, I won’t judge. Much.

Skip it

“Heroes” (8 p.m., NBC). They’re trying to breathe some excitement into the new half-season with a two-hour “event,” but don’t bother. Unless you want to be disappointed, again.

“Conveyor Belt of Love” (10 p.m., ABC). It’s your typical dating show where five women pick the love of their life from 30 men who move past them on a conveyor belt. No, seriously. Do you have an idea for a reality show? Pitch it to a network. It can’t be stupider than this.

“Chef Academy” (10 p.m. and 11 p.m., Bravo). Hmmm, they’re burning off two back-to-back new episodes. That can’t be a good sign. I’m very sorry to tell you . . . . (dramatic pause) . . . . that this is a great show! Oh wait, no it’s not.
