Watch it

“Survivor: Samoa” (8 p.m., CBS). Just a guess here: Tonight, Russell plots and schemes.

“The Office” (9 p.m., NBC). Michael shatters the dreams of a bunch of children. And Jim, now a corporate stooge, tries to placate the masses by starting an employee of the month award.

“30 Rock” (9:30 p.m., NBC). Jack schemed to make Liz’s “Dealbreakers” talk show a smash hit. Will Arnett reprises his role as the evil Devin.

“It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” (10 p.m., FX). Mac and Charlie try to pitch a movie script to M. Night Shyamalan. Hilarity ensues.

“The League” (10:30 p.m., FX). Pete and Kevin get stuck at a stupid Christmas party and can’t watch the playoffs. Ouch, been there.

Record it

“Fringe” (9 p.m., Fox). A disgusting squid-like parasite infests everyone onboard a Chinese cargo ship, and our heroes have to check it out. Here’s a hint: Don’t watching this episode while eating dinner.

“BBQ Pitmasters” (10 p.m., TLC). This new series follows the high-steaks world of competitive barbecue.

Games of the Night

NFL: Jets vs. Bills (5 p.m., NFL Network). The game will be played in Toronto. Too bad they won’t be forced to play on a 110-yard CFL field with three downs. That’d make this snoozer of a matchup interesting, at least.

College football: Oregon State at Oregon (6 p.m., ESPN). The winner of the annual Civil War rivalry goes to the Rose Bowl.  Should be a good one.

Skip it

“The Polar Express” (8:30 p.m., ABC Family). Sorry, the animation makes the people look creepy.

“Jersey Shore” (10 p.m., MTV). The network’s latest weapon in the war to dumbify America follows a bunch of meatheads on the Goomba Riviera (no offense).
