Watch it

“MythBusters” (6 p.m., Discovery). It’s a “MythBusters” marathon, starting at 6 p.m. and running into the wee hours of the morning. Definitely worth checking in on.

Games of the day

Penn State at Michigan (12:30 p.m., ESPN). Doesn’t that just scream “autumn”?

Oregon at Washington (12:30 p.m., ABC). Big battle in the Northwest. Should be a good one.

Angels at Yankees (5 p.m., Fox). Game 6 of the ALCS. The Yankees can win the pennant with a victory. Fun side bet: Will the game end in under four hours? (Bet no.)

Oregon State at USC (5:30 p.m., ABC). Can the Trojans’ defense shut down Jacquizz Rodgers? (I love typing that name.)

Arizona State at Stanford (7:15 p.m., CSN-BA). Newton’s first law is put to the test as the Pac 10’s leading rusher, Stanford’s Toby Gerhart, goes up against the league’s top run defense.

Skip it

“My Super Psycho Sweet 16” (9 p.m., MTV). It’s come to this: a made-for-TV movie based on the most inane show on the planet, “Super Sweet 16.” It’s about a bloodbath that erupts at a popular girl’s party. On second thought, based on the real show, that sounds like a pretty appealing story.

“Saturday Night Live” (11:30 p.m., NBC). Good lord, it’s only been on for like a month and it’s already in reruns. This is the season opener, with Megan Fox, U2, and that new cast member dropping the F-bomb. (Settle down, it’ll be bleeped out.)
