Watch it

“Saturday Night Live” (11:30 p.m., NBC). Tonight’s guests are Ryan Reynolds and Lady Gaga. He’s funny, she’s bizarre . . . you’d think that’d make it a little more appealing than usual.

Wow, there’s really nothing else on tonight. I like to try to find something offbeat, maybe on an obscure channel, but tonight it’s looking pretty bare. Go watch a movie. Or catch up on all those hours of Ken Burns’ “National Parks” that you taped all week and still haven’t watched.

Best games of the day

Cal vs. USC (5 p.m., ABC). Big game in the Pac-10. Whoever loses can kiss off any hope of the league championship. USC’s banged up and Cal’s coming off their worst loss in eight years, so both teams have something to prove.

Washington vs. Notre Dame (1 p.m., NBC). Two teams that are vastly improved from last year. And it’s always fun to root against Notre Dame.

UC Davis vs. Boise State (5 p.m., CSN+). I have no clue what channel CSN+ is on these days. But it’s there, if you want to see the Aggies get smoked by a really good Boise State team.

Giants vs. Padres (7 p.m., Ch. 3). I can’t even really recommend this. A meaningless game between two teams with nothing to play for. It’ll be like extended spring training. But maybe you can see Buster Posey play and dream of great things next year.

Sharks vs. Ducks (7 p.m., CSN-CA). I might actually watch some of this. I have a fantasy hockey draft Monday. No, seriously. Isn’t that sick?
