Watch it

“Dollhouse” (9 p.m., Fox). Season premiere. I gave up on this series last season after a couple of episodes. But just like “Fringe,” as soon as I tuned out it started getting better. So don’t repeat my mistake. By all accounts, “Dollhouse” got better and better with each episode, and this season promises more meatier multi-episode plots, more twists and less disposable, mission-of-the-week eye candy. There are some cool cast additions too: Summer Glau (“Firefly,” “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles”) and Jamie Bamber (“Battlestar Galactica”).

Worth a look

De La Salle vs. Lakeland (Fla.) (7 p.m., ESPN2). So Sonoma County high school football isn’t enough for you? Check out this national battle royal. The perennial powerhouse from Concord (remember that 151-game winning streak?) hosts the Florida powerhouse that’s ranked No. 10 in the nation.

Record it

“Flash Forward” (8 p.m., ABC). Let me guess: You missed Thursday’s series premiere, but now all your friends are raving about it and you feel left out. Fear not; catch the rerun tonight. “Modern Family” and “Cougar Town” are also getting second airings at 9 and 9″30 p.m. “Modern Family” is definitely worth checking out, the pilot episode was very, very funny.

“Psych” (10 p.m., USA). What’s a Friday night without Erkel? Jaleel White guest-stars as the guys investigate a murder in an acappella group.

Skip it

“Brothers” (8 p.m., Fox). The cast looks fantastic: Darryl “Chill” Williams (“Ed”), former NFL defensive lineman Michael Strahan, Carl Weathers (“Rocky”) and CCH Pounder (“The Shield”) star as bickering family members. Too bad the writing looks painfully unoriginal and bland.
