Watch it

“Robin Hood” (8 and 9 p.m., BBC America). The third season kicked off last week, but if you missed the premiere it’ll be shown tonight at 8 with a new episode at 9. This is actually a pretty decent series. It’s a re-imagining of the familiar legend — and in the case of a major character who was killed off last season, it’s a drastic re-imagining. It’s cheesy at times, but can veer into pretty dark territory. If you like sword fights and British accents, it’s worth checking out. In the 8 p.m. episode, Robin returns from the Holy Land with revenge on his mind; at 9 Robin tries to save local men from being sold into slavery by the sheriff to Irish warriors.

Record it

“Georgia O’Keefe” (9 p.m., Lifetime). A biopic on the iconic artist, focusing mainly on O’Keefe and her passionate and complicated relationship with husband Alfred Stieglitz. It stars Joan Allen and Jeremy Irons, so you know it’ll be well-done. Not necessarily exciting, but good.

Best games of the day

Cal vs. Minnesota (9 a.m., ESPN). The Golden Bears, ranked No. 8 in the land, take on the Golden Gophers. I’m calling a 35-point win for Cal.

Giants vs. Dodgers (1 p.m., Fox). Brad Penny takes the mound for the Giants against his old teammates. There’s bad blood — he hates those guys. SF gained a game last night; let’s see if they can close the gap even more.

Tennessee vs. Florida (1 p.m., CBS). If you’re a Raiders fan who hates ex-coach Lane Kiffin, tune in to watch his Vols get thrashed by the No. 1 team in the nation.

USC vs. Washington (1 p.m., ABC). Washington suddenly doesn’t suck this season. Can former USC assistant coach Steve Sarkisian lead his new team to a shocking upset? Um, probably not.

Utah vs. Oregon (1 p.m., ESPN). Which hideous uniforms will the Ducks trot out in? A loss here and Oregon’s season is d-u-n, done.

Critic’s pick

Awesome double feature tonight, in memory of Patrick Swayze:  the cheeseball hockey epic “Youngblood” at 6:15, followed by the cheeseball bank robber/surfer epic “Point Break” at 8:10. That’s four hours of 100 percent pure adrenaline. I’m not sure if I get Encore, but if I did and if I was going to be home, this is totally what I’d watch. I love both of these movies.
