So apparently Apache Stone, the band fronted by dim-witted Mike in “Rescue Me” is for real. And that was the real band playing in last week’s episode. I guess any publicity is good publicity, but . . . yikes, the band has been repeatedly savaged by the characters on the show, from Tommy deservedly mocking its name, to how the band members dress, to the assumption that if Mike is involved with it, it probably sucks.

Well, at the very least, it shows the guys in the band have a good sense of humor.

Here’s a clip of one of their gigs. Their sound is about 16 years too late, but it’s not bad. Apache Stone is still an awful name though.
