Ouch.
OK, so maybe MLB Network isn’t quite ready for prime time.
In the midst of a scary moment last night in Colorado — Rockies baserunner Brad Hawpe was hit in the head by a throw and had to be carted off the field with a concussion — “MLB Tonight” anchor Matt Vasgersian inexplicably tried to throw in a really, really lame attempt at humor, saying one of the EMTs looked like Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb.
The stunned silence that followed pretty much says it all.
UPDATE: Vasgersian admits he’s an idiot and apologizes.
