In a bit of stunning news, “Saturday Night Live” actually had a funny bit over the weekend. So you know right off it had to involve Andy Samberg and Justin Timberlake in a digital short, since that’s the only time the show provokes laughter these days. (Sorry Kristen Wiig fans, I love her in movies, but she’s completely unfunny on “SNL.”)

It’s a musical sequel to “D— in a Box,” called “Motherlover,” that was released just in time for Mother’s Day. It very easily could have been called “Mother”-something else.

Check it out. It’s hilarious. (Mom, if you’re reading this, you probably shouldn’t watch. It’s scandalously suggestive.)

By the way, why doesn’t “SNL” just add Timberlake as a regular cast member? He does something memorably laugh-out-loud every time he’s on the show, which is more than I can say for anyone since Tina Fey left.
