Word came out Tuesday that NBC will pass on the Dick Wolf pilot “Lost & Found,” which had “Battlestar Galactica’s” Katee Sackhoff in a starring role. The series would have had the former Starbuck playing an “offbeat” LAPD detective investigating John and Jane Doe cases.

There are reports that the series might get passed along to USA, but even that sounds like a longshot.

It’s probably for the best. I love Sackhoff, and I’d like to see her spread her wings in a series bigger and better than an ordinary police prodecural. And this one sounded pretty ordinary. Hopefully something better will come along and we’ll see her back on our TV screens soon.
