A quick recap of Sunday night’s TV:

“The Hills”: Heidi and Spencer’s wedding and Lauren’s last episode was exceedingly lame, even for “The Hills” standards. That’s Lauren’s goodbye? Sneaking out a side door of the church and being driven away by a waiting town car? No drama, no goodbyes, no voiceover? Talk about anticlimatic. But she was boring for years anyway, so I suppose it was appropriate. Meanwhile, it was nice of the producers to provide some wedding drama, with Kristen and Stacie showing up. Would’ve been nice to see the drunken reception though. Maybe that comes next season. I want to know how wasted Heidi’s sister Holly got. Hey, can’t blame the girl — if my sister was marrying Spencer Pratt, I’d get stupid-drunk too.

MTV Movie Awards: Let’s just call it what it really was — a two-hour commercial for “Twilight.” Robert Pattinson seemed to be on stage more than host Andy Samberg, as “Twilight” won just about almost every award possible. At least MTV acknowledged the real reason people were watching was to see the new preview of the second “Twilight” installment; it was teased and teased until it got shown at the end. The award show itself was terribly boring, with two exceptions: Andy Samberg’s brilliant “Cool Guys Don’t Look at Explosions” video tribute, and Sacha Baron Cohen dropping in butt-first on Eminem. I don’t know if that was planned or not, but I about died laughing. Yeah, despite being buddies with Elton John, I think ol’ Marshall Mathers still has a little hangup about gays. And as Triumph the Insult Comic Dog can attest to, the guy has no sense of humor. Watch for yourself:

“HGTV’s $250,000 Challenge”: Totally boring. I thought at least it’d have a little “Trading Space”-like pep, but it didn’t have much of anything. Just a handful of charisma-free homeowners with not much design experience or vision. I never got a good feel for what each couple was doing, the editing bounced around so much. I’m not sure what I expected. Just something more interesting, I suppose. Based on the previews, it looks like three more weeks of breakdowns and tears. I don’t think I need to see that.

“Into the Storm”: Of course I missed the one quality show that was probably the best thing on any network. I’ll try to watch it during the week on On Demand.
