Whoa, I just read Katee Sackhoff (Starbuck from “Battlestar Galactica”) will be co-starring in the next season of “24.” That suddenly makes it a whole lot more watchable. I’ve tuned in and out over the years and skipped last season (though I’ve been told it was pretty good). But her addition could actually draw me back.

Her role doesn’t sound perfect (she’ll be a CTU data analyst who’s dating her co-worker . . . who’s played by freakin Freddie Prinze Jr, I kid you not), but as any watcher of “24” knows, the job title is meaningless. I’m sure she’ll get a chance to get out from behind a computer and shoot up something at some point.

Here’s a bold idea: Keifer Sutherland has implied next season may be his last. What about continuing the series with Sackhoff as the star? Now that would be pretty kickass.
