Gotta hand it to Stephen Colbert, he’s willing to go that extra mile for a laugh. The mock pundit is filming “The Colbert Report” this week from Baghdad as a series of USO shows. But going through basic training (hilariously) and showing up in a camouflage suit to personally thank the troops wasn’t quite enough. So last night he got his head shaved, Army-style, by a four-star general in front of a live audience. President Obama even got in on the action, which is a pretty impressive “get” for a basic cable show, even one as buzzworthy as “The Colbert Report.”

I’ll miss that well-coiffed flowing mane of his. But it went to a good cause.
