There’s almost nothing worth watching this week, you’ll be better off catching up on movies or your DVR or conversing with friends and family members. Here are the meager TV highlights, and I’ll put up New Year’s Eve highlights later in the week.

Tuesday

Vikings vs. Eagles (5 p.m., NBC). This game was delayed because of the big East Coast blizzard. And thank goodness, Brett Favre is still too woozy to play. Tune in and watch Michael Vick run amok through the Vikings’ D.

Wednesday

“24/7 Penguins-Capitals: Road to the NHL Winter Classic” (10 p.m., HBO). Part 3 in the fantastic four-part behind-the-scenes hockey documentary. Tonight the Penguins and Caps meet in a prelude to their special New Year’s Day game, and preparations begin for the outdoor rink at Heinz Field.

No new “Top Chef All-Stars” tonight; instead you can catch up on the first four episodes in a mini-marathon starting at 8 p.m. (Bravo).

Thursday

“Zodiac” (10 p.m., FX). Cool movie. And with a Santa Rosa angle! (And yes, there is really nothing better on tonight than a three-year-old movie.)
