Watch it

“Lost” (9 p.m., ABC). Finally, a Desmond episode. Last week was a dud, but this one should be a doozy. Charlie, Daniel Farraday and Eloise Hawking are back too, so how’s that for awesome? Hmmm, this episode is titled “Happily Ever After,” but somehow I don’t think that’ll be the case.

“Justified” (10 p.m., FX). Rayland goes to L.A. to track down a fugitive before Mexican drug cartel hitmen get to him.

Record it

“How the States Got Their Shapes” (9 p.m., History). I’m a total history and geography nerd, so I’d be totally into this look at how the borders for America’s states were formed.

“Parenthood” (10 p.m., NBC). “Friday Night Lights’ ” Minka Kelly guest-stars as a behavioral aide who helps out Adam and Kristina’s autistic kid. And Crosby tells his parents about his secret son.

“Chopped” (10 p.m., Food Network). Season premiere. Rattlesnake meat is one of the ingredients. I had rattlesnake-potato pancakes once. Pretty good. Let’s see how these chefs do.

“Southland” (10 p.m., TNT). It’s the season finale already. You know, for a series that caught a lot of buzz when NBC canceled it, it hasn’t gotten much buzz once new episodes started airing. Huh. Has anyone been watching?

Catch a score

Giants at Astros (5 p.m., CSN-BA). Barry Zito pitches and Giants Nation holds its collective breath.

Mariners at A’s (7 p.m., CSN-CA). And for the suckiest pitching matchup on just the second day of the season, the winner is . . . . Dallas Braden vs. Ian Snell!

Skip it

“V” (10 p.m., ABC). That’ll teach ’em for that stupid onscreen countdown on last week’s “Lost.”
