Watch it

“Glee” (8 p.m., Fox). Gwyneth Paltrow is back as a substitute teacher and teaches the kids sex-ed with Will (who spends disturbingly little of his time teaching Spanish). Predicted highlight: Santa and Brittany performing Stevie Nicks’ “Landslide.”Lowlight (for me, at least): Paltrow’s Holly singing Prince’s “Kiss.” I really, really hate that song, and it’s mostly Tom Jones’ fault.

“Raising Hope” (9 p.m., Fox). Jimmy’s cousin Mike )remember him from the pilot?) visits with his new wife (guest star Mary Lynn Rajskub) and three brother-husbands. Turns out they’re reverse-gender polygamists now. If Rajskub is half as funny as she was in a guest spot as Snail on “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia,” this will be great.

“Traffic Light” (9:30 p.m., Fox). Oh, why not give this another try and see if it’s improved any. Tonight, Adam claims credit for finding a lost puppy and Mike and Lisa have to deal with a noisy neighbor.

“Lights Out” (10 p.m., FX). The Leary family splits over Ed Romeo’s training methods for Lights.

Record it

“Southland” (10 p.m., TNT). For me, this usually gets lost in the shuffle of a busy Tuesday schedule. But with not a lot else on, it’s a good time to check in. Too bad it’s already the season finale. Tonight, it’s Ben’s last day as a rookie and John is increasingly dependent on painkillers.

“White Collar” (10 p.m., USA). Another season finale, as Neal finally tracks down the guy responsible for Kate’s death, and uncovers the secret of the fractal code. It’s a decent enough show, but I liked Season 1 more. There’ve been so many twists and turns in Season 2 that I kinda forget how the bad guy and Kate and the music box and the code are even related to each other.

Skip it

“Hardcore Pawn” (10 p.m., TryTV). I read last week there are 19 different “secondhand” shows on TV. I kinda like History’s “Pawn Stars,” but geez, I just don’t get the obsession with this category.
