The Wil Wheaton Project highlights the week ahead

The Syfy channel, which recently achieved the unenviable record of having not a single original series worth watching – Continuum doesn’t count, it’s a Canadian show – will look to rectify that programming error with the premiere of The Wil Wheaton Project at 10pm this Tuesday. What’s on this summer?

What I’m most looking forward to as the summer season kicks in to high gear:  “Breaking Bad” and “Burn Notice” start their final seasons, “True Blood” returns, and the Stephen King miniseries “Under the Dome” premieres. SUNDAY HBO brings back  “Girls” (9 p.m., HBO) and “Enlightened” (9:30 p.m., HBO) for their second seasons. Will the critically acclaimed “Girls” be able to hold on to its buzz?
