“Ted” is back

Very sneaky of ABC, slipping “Better Off Ted” back into the Tuesday night lineup. Well, maybe not entirely sneaky, since a certain TV blog (cough cough) did mention it was coming back weeks ago, and then promptly forgot about it. Fanboys rejoice over network renewals

I know this might sound crazy, but suddenly it seems like networks are actually listening to audiences. Credit the power of the fanboy for a cluster of just-announced series renewals. Despite low ratings, smart shows with loyal — and vocal — viewers are on the comeback trail.

‘Better Off Ted’ fed to the wolves

Turns out the season (series?) finale of “Better Off Ted” was last night. I just found out now. Thanks for the heads-up, ABC.
Hey, you know a great way to get ratings for a show that desperately needs viewers to stay alive? Move it to a different night and don’t tell anyone. And run it against “American Idol.”

‘Better Off Ted’ strikes back at Obama

So the season finale of “Better Off Ted” was indeed pre-empted last night by President Obama’s news conference. But ABC says they’ll run it next week at its normal timeslot, so no harm, no foul, I guess.

Does Obama hate ‘Better Off Ted’?

President Obama hates “Better Off Ted.” That’s the conclusion I’m jumping to after Obama requested an hour of network airtime to address the nation tonight. The speech will air at 8 p.m. Eastern, smack dab in the middle of prime time. Among the shows that will be bumped for Obama: “Scrubs” and “Better Off Ted,” both struggling to get renewed by ABC.
