Watch this (week of Jan. 13)

SUNDAY HBO brings back  “Girls” (9 p.m., HBO) and “Enlightened” (9:30 p.m., HBO) for their second seasons. Will the critically acclaimed “Girls” be able to hold on to its buzz? On Showtime, three series return: “Shameless” (9 p.m.), “House of Lies” (10 p.m.) and “Californication” (10:30 p.m.).  MONDAY “Sex and the City” prequel “The Carrie Diaries” (8 p.m., CW) debuts as a teen Carrie Bradshaw falls in love with New York for the very first time. Coming soon: ‘Community’ (and other favorites)

With the seasonal TV slowdown, I thought rather than highlight what’s on this week, I’d let you know when a few of your favorites are returning next month. Dates are subject to change, and I’m sure I’ve left some shows out. January 6 Jillian is back as season… Read More »

Watch this (week of May 20)

TUESDAY After performances on Monday, a winner is announced Tuesday on “Dancing with the Stars” (8 p.m., ABC)… Read More »

Survivors: Ready, Set , Merge!

OMG! Must See–spoiler alert! Survivor: So apparently, the survivors have formed one tribe and have managed to name themselves after an influential stuffed animal.  Of course they (except Boston Rob) are under the impression that their tribe name is much more philosophical, which just makes me chuckle.  Sarita lost a battle and left the show–no biggie, won’t miss her.  But the best part is Matt getting an opportunity to revisit Redemption Island.  How harsh is that?  Let the building of the jury… Read More »
