Fox, NBC unveil fall schedules

NBC announced its fall schedule Sunday. In addition to the series I mentioned in a previous post Friday, the network will also  have the new comedy “Guys With Kids” about guys in their 30s coping with fatherhood. To make room for its new shows, NBC canceled “Awake,” “Are You There, Chelsea?”, “Best Friends Forever,” “Bent” and “Harry’s Law.” But “Community,” which had been struggling in the ratings, will be back for 13 episodes, as will “30 Rock.” Unfortunately for fans… Read More »

SAG award TV nominees

The Screen Actors Guild announced their nominations, including for TV. Among them: Drama ensemble: HBO’s “Game of Thrones” and “Boardwalk Empire,” AMC’s “Breaking Bad,” CBS’ “The Good Wife” and Showtime’s “Dexter.” Comedy ensemble: “Modern Family,” “The Office,” “30 Rock,” “The Big Bang Theory” and “Glee.” If I were to pick a favorite from this group, I’d have to go with “Modern Family,” but all of but one of these shows is in my DVR list. OMG! Must See 30 Rock: Tina Fey is a genius, and Alec Baldwin is just like a genius.  Tonight, Jack will somehow face a hostage situation and Liz will encounter a problem while remodeling her apartment.  Hostages, possible dry rot, what’s not to look forward to?
