Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives (Food Network, 9:30 PM Monday) Local legend Guy Fieri travels the country looking for great food at reasonable prices, I am a regular viewer, and I make episodes like this week’s that feature Bay Area restaurants a top priority; if it weren’t for DDD I would have never discovered two of my Sonoma County favorites, Cafe Citti and Willie Bird’s Restaurant.

Pretty Little Liars (ABC Family, 8 PM Tuesday) Take the fashion sense of 90210, the mystery, cleverness and resourcefulness of Nancy Drew and add a splash of Mean Girls and you’ve got the idea. If you are a regular viewer of this social media phenom don’t miss the finale Tuesday, if you are not a fan give this program a try on Netflix or check out the special A Liars Guide to Rosewood on the ABC Family website; you may very well find it addictive.

Cheer Perfection (TLC, 9:30 PM Wednesday) Watch the season two premiere and be blown away by the skill and sacrifice of these hard working athletes.

Duck Dynasty (A&E, 10 PM Wednesday) I have to admit I didn’t think Duck Dynasty would be my thing, I was wrong; though it is obvious some things are planned (it is a TV program after all) the premise seems believable enough and the players seem to be authentic and have genuine affection for each other. The little interview snippets spread throughout the show are full of clever truisms about life, love, work and relationships; and uncle Si is a hoot!

NFL Football: 49ers at Chargers (CBS, 7 PM Thursday) Do I really have to write something to convince you to watch this? It’s 49ers football! Watch to see how things are coming together as we get closer to the first regular season game on September 8th.

MDA Show of Strength Telethon (ABC, 9 PM Sunday) Watch, be entertained and consider giving to a good cause.

Breaking Bad, (AMC, 9PM Sunday) Five more episodes and then the best thing on TV is gone. Do not miss it!

Special Note – it appears Dexter and The Newsroom have the holiday weekend off.
