Watch it

“Portlandia” (7:30 p.m., IFC). Nooooooo! It’s the season finale already. Fans of the show will be relieved to know it’s already been renewed for a second season. Look for it in 2012. Tonight, the mayor asks Fred and Carrie to hold auditions for Portland’s baseball team.

“Fringe” (9 p.m., Fox). Normally, I’m not big on flashback episodes, but this could be an interesting one. It’s a look back at Olivia’s traumatic experiences as a child undergoing Walter’s experiments in the ’80s, and it looks like she and Peter actually met way back when.

“Spartacus: Gods of the Arena” (10 p.m., Starz). Speaking of finales, this is the final installment of the prequel miniseries. I’ll be sorry to see it go, but look for a new season of “Spartacus: Blood and Sand” probably in early 2012. Tonight, Batiatus enacts his revenge against his foes, and the new arena opens. There will be blood. Lots of it.

And BTW, last week’s episode was outstanding. Lucy Lawless really got to show some acting chops.
