Watch it

“Wipeout” (8 p.m., ABC). Where was this after I watched “Wallander” and “Winter’s Bone” on Tuesday? I needed to watch some stupid, fun splats after all that bleakness. (Both were outstanding though. Outstanding but bleak.)

“Jersey Shore” (10 p.m., MTV). I feel dirty for saying this, but last week’s season premiere was awesome. Tonight we get Part 2 of the epic J-Woww-Sammi fight. Later, Ronnie gets fed up with Sammi’s isolation plan and tries to hang out with the others. Sammi doesn’t appreciate that. In related news, Sammi and Ronnie have broken up. Again.

“Conan” (11 p.m., TBS). Interesting lineup: Ricky Gervais (hilarious), Kaitlin Olson (hilarious) and Cheap Trick (hilarious).

Record it

“House Hunters International” (10:30 p.m., HGTV). A couple have a huge, unreasonable wish list for a house in Malmo, Sweden. That’ll fit nicely with my recent obsession with “Wallander,” which was set in southern Sweden, near Malmo. Pretty country, cool-looking cities.

Game of the night

College basketball: USF vs. St. Mary’s (7:30 p.m., CSN+). The Battle of the Bay. Sorta. And that USF-Santa Clara game last weekend was great. So take the opportunity to check out a couple of local teams.

Of note

“Ace of Cakes” (10 p.m., Food Network). Tonight, Betty White orders a cake, meaning that she has officially appeared on every single show on TV in the past year.

Skip it

“Beyond Scared Straight” (10 p.m., A&E). Series premiere. Five troubled teenage girls visit Chowchilla women’s prison to see how much it sucks to be incarcerated. What, they haven’t seen “Oz”?
