Watch it

BCS Championship Game: Oregon vs. Auburn (5:30 p.m., ESPN). The two best, most exciting offenses in the county face off to decide the national championship. If this isn’t a high-scoring, highly entertaining game, I’ll be shocked. Go Ducks!

“Men of a Certain Age” (10 p.m., TNT). It’s already the mid-season finale (look for the second half probably in the summer). Tonight the guys go to Palm Spring to get colonoscopies. No, I’m serious.

Record it

“The Cape” (9 p.m., NBC). If you missed Sunday night’s two-hour series premiere, it’ll be re-aired tonight.

Skip it

“The Bachelor” (8 p.m., ABC). I actually watched last week just to see how bad it was. But it was more boring than outright bad. And for a trashy show like this, being boring is much worse than being bad.

“The X Life” (10 p.m., VH1). Series premiere. A reality show about women who love extreme sports. Since it’s on VH1, it’s sure to be awful, and a lot more skeezy than it sounds.
