Noah Wylie, for one, will not bow to our new alien overlords.

The trailer for TNT’s upcoming sci-fi drama “Falling Skies” has been released, and it looks like it could be a lot of cheesy fun. Kinda a mashup of “V” (remember that?) and “Red Dawn.” Wylie stars as a leader of the human resistance, fighting nasty multi-legged creatures who’ve blown up our cities with their big ol’ spaceships. Keep your expectations low (hey, it’s basic cable), but if “Falling Skies” can effectively tell a compelling survival story, along the lines of what “Battlestar Galactica” did, it could be pretty cool. Look for it this summer.

UPDATE: Hmmm, I just saw who’s among the creative team: executive producer Steven Spielberg, screenwriter Robert Rodat (“Saving Private Ryan”) and director Carl Franklin (“The Pacific,” “The Riches” and “Rome”). This could actually be really good.
