Watch it

“Top Gear” (8 and 9 p.m., BBC America). There’s nothing else on tonight, and these are two classic episodes: The race across the Kalahari desert and the road trip across the Deep South. Totally worth seeing again.

“Brew Masters” (10 p.m., Discovery). And suddenly it moves to a new night. Tonight Sam goes to New Zealand to get the fixins for an indigenous brew. Meanwhile back the brewery, a whole bunch of Punkin ale might have to be dumped after it gets bottled in the wrong bottles.

Record it

“Chuck” (8 p.m., NBC). My enthusiasm for this show is seriously waning. After a great third season, it seems to have regressed this year. I’m behind a couple of episodes, and have no burning desire to catch up. Still, there’s not much else on Mondays. Tonight, Chuck’s mom crashes his post-Thanksgiving dinner, and Ellie continues to track down clues her father left.

“Gossip Girl” (9 p.m., The CW). Nate tries to get his parents to get along, and someone is hospitalized (dum-dum-DUM!). Ugh, this show has gotten stupider than Nate. And that’s saying a lot.

Games of the day

Barcelona vs. AC Madrid (11:55 a.m., ESPN Deportes). Yes, seriously. It’s a fantastic matchup between two of the world’s best teams and the world’s two best players: Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. No worries about a nil-nil tie here, goals will be scored (um, probably).

49ers vs. Cardinals (5:30 p.m., ESPN and KPIX Ch. 5). Hard to recommend this — with maybe one exception, 49ers games have all been stinkers this year. BTW, the local telecast will pre-empt “How I Met Your Mother,” which is a rerun anyway.

Skip it

“Skating with the Stars” (8 p.m., ABC). Who asked for this?
