Watch it

Rally to Restore Sanity (and/or Fear), (noon, Comedy Central). Live coverage of the Washington rallies put on by Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert. Could be the most thoughtful, refreshing pseudo-political thing you see on TV in the runup to Election Day.

World Series: Giants vs. Rangers (3:57 p.m., Fox). Game 3 from Texas. Can the Giants continue their hot-hitting ways? You know, for as much as the media has maligned their offense, the Giants went on a whole lot of monster, team-wide hitting streaks this season. If they can just keep that up, San Francisco could have its first World Series championship by the end of the weekend. Hoo boy, I’m getting excited just thinking about it.

Catch a score

Michigan State vs. Iowa (12:30 p.m., ABC). Would’ve been a much more intriguing matchup if Iowa hadn’t blown their game last week with horrific clock management. Michigan State, meanwhile, could be Rose Bowl-bound.

Oregon vs. USC (5 p.m., ABC). This one shouldn’t even be close. Quack.

Check in if you’re home and bored

“Saturday Night Live” (11:30 p.m., NBC). Jon Hamm of “Mad Men” hosts. He’s actually a pretty funny guy, but his talents will probably be wasted. That’s what this show does now. Rihanna is the musical guest.

Get in the Halloween mood

“Red: Werewolf Hunter” (9 p.m., Syfy). Vampires and zombies are getting all the pop culture buzz. But what about the werewolves? Ahhh, thanks Syfy! In this sure-to-be-cheesetastic movie, a descendant of Little Red Riding Hood — who comes from a family of werewolf hunters — has to save her fiance, who’s been bitten by a wolf.

Skip it

World Series pregame (3:30 p.m., Fox). Justin freakin Bieber is debuting a new music video sometime during the pregame. So just to be safe, skip it all and tune in just in time for first pitch.
