Guess Jimmy Smits shouldn’t have quit his day job on the Supreme Court. To the surprise of no one, NBC pulled the plug on the critically panned and viewer-ignored legal drama “Outlaw” on Monday. The remaining episodes will be burned off on Saturday nights through Nov. 15. Production of new episodes had stopped last week, foreshadowing today’s news.

It’s the third cancellation of the fall, joining Fox’s “Lone Star” and ABC’s “My Generation.”
