Watch it

“Jackass: The Beginning” (10 p.m., MTV). A look at the early days of the stupidest (but in a great way) show ever made, including a meeting with the ever-put-upon Margera family and never-before-seen footage from the first season.

“The Making of Jackass 3D” (11 p.m., MTV). A behind-the-scene look at the new movie. Why am I recommending these sure-to-be inane, juvenile, disgusting shows? Because they’re also damn funny. Just look at it as performance art.

Record it

“Saturday Night Live” (11:30 p.m., NBC). Jane Lynch hosts with musical guest Bruno Mars. Lynch should be great, but seeing how “SNL” completely wasted Bryan Cranston last week, don’t hold out too much hope.

Catch a score

Sharks vs. Blue Jackets (noon, CSN-CA). The second of two season-opening games from Stockholm.

Stanford vs. USC (5 p.m., ABC). The Cardinal look to get back on track against a weaker-than-usual Trojans team.

Rays vs. Rangers (2 p.m., TBS). Amazingly enough, the Rangers are in position for a sweep if they can win today at home.

Twins vs. Yankees (5:30 p.m., TBS). And predictably enough, the Yankees could sweep their series with a win at home tonight too.
