The final season of “Friday Night Lights” starts Oct. 27  (on DirecTV, next summer on NBC), and if you haven’t noticed, the cast has been completely overhauled. The newly released, spoiler-free trailer highlights the stars of the upcoming season, and there’s not a Saracen or a Riggins in sight. Just like real-life high school, the kids who were there four years ago are all gone. The only original holdovers? The Taylor clan.

Hmmm, I’m not sure what that trailer is supposed to represent; maybe everyone’s getting ready for the prom. Or a hot new club has opened in Dillon. (It must be hot, everyone’s all glistening.)
