Warning: Possible spoiler alert regarding the upcoming season finale.

Eater.com is reporting that next season of Bravo’s “Top Chef” will be an all-star edition set in New York. Nothing’s been officially confirmed, but rumor has it they’ve already been shooting for a week or two.

Reportedly on board are: Angelo Sosa and Tiffany Derry from the current season; Spike Mendelsohn, Dale Talde and Richard Blais from Season 4; Mike Isabella from Season 6; Stephen Aspirino from Season 1; Marcel Vigneron from Season 2; and Fabio Viviani and Carla Hall from Season 5.

So far it sounds like a decent mix of most-liked and most-hated. I’d like to see a few more favorites: How about Tre Wilcox and Dale Levitski from Season 3, Jamie Lauren from Season 5, and Kevin Gillespie and Jen Carroll from Season 6?

I have to wonder though: Did they spoil this season’s winner? (Or at least, one of its losers?) None of those reportedly on board won their seasons; that doesn’t bode well for Angelo’s chances in Singapore. Hmmmm.

What do you think? After a lackluster season, does “Top Chef” need an all-stars extravaganza to regain momentum, like “Survivor” did? And who would you like to see return?
