Watch it

“Changing Lanes” (8 p.m., BET). Series premiere. NASCAR gets its own reality series as it looks for a new generation of drivers and a broader demographic. This series has young female and minority drivers competing for a spot on a racing team. If you’re a racing fan, this could be worth checking out.

“Top Chef” (10 p.m., Bravo). The remaining cheftestants cook for NASA. Buzz Aldrin is a guest, and Anthony Bourdain is a guest judge. And I predict Kevin goes home.

Record it

“Man vs. Wild” (9 p.m., Discovery). Bear lands in the Republic of Georgia, where he has to try to avert another Russian invasion. Not really, but that’d be interesting. Instead he just runs around the wilderness.

“Ghost Hunters” (9 p.m., Syfy). The team visits a haunted zoo. I swear there was a “Scooby Doo” episode with that plot. I think it was Old Mr. McGillicuddy trying to lower the value of the property.

“Psych” (10 p.m., USA). Shawn may have met his match in a criminal profiler whose skills equal his own talents. Nestor Carbonell (“Lost”) guest-stars.

Skip it

“24 Hour Restaurant Battle” (10 p.m., Food Network). Tonight it’s two competing theme restaurants: One has a trailer-trash concept, the other has a caveman motif. I think I would pay to not have to visit either one.
