AMC’s next big series, the zombie thriller “The Walking Dead,” is set to debut, appropriately enough, on Halloween night — Oct. 31 — with a special 90-minute premiere. Based on a graphic novel, the six-episode series chronicles the story of a small-town sheriff and a handful of survivors he meets in the wake of a zombie apocalypse. It looks gory, super creepy and really good. The official trailer was unveiled to the public today, after being previewed last month at Comic-Con.

“Walking Dead” stars Andrew Lincoln, who you might remember as the groom’s friend who had an unrequited crush on Keira Knightley in “Love, Actually.”

I’m not a big horror fan, but this looks so good that I already can’t wait to see it. Um, on second thought, I’ll probably wait juuust a bit longer — like, record it to watch later, in the daylight, when I don’t have to go to sleep right after.
