Watch it

“Top Chef” (9 p.m., Bravo). I’m really starting to sour on this season. There’s just no one worth rooting for. Tonight they have to make amuse-bouches. Here’s a hint: Make them bite-sized! No trios of anything! (That advice will surely be ignored, and someone will pay.) Then there’s a power lunch elimination challenge. Guests include “Top Chef Masters” contestant Art Smith and MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough.

“Work of Art: The Next Great Artist” (10 p.m., Bravo). The artists get into teams and create works inspired by polar opposites.

Record it

“Psych” (10 p.m., USA). The guys try to keep an open mind while investigating an old friend’s UFO sighting.

Skip it

“Plain Jane” (9 p.m., The CW). Series premiere. It’s not enough for this makeover show to spruce up a girl’s looks and fashion; this one uses a shock collar to help modify her behavior. Seriously. Professor Henry Higgins would be appalled.
